I didn't really know what to expect when I signed up to become a judge, I was a little nervous but interested in expanding my skillset and thought it would be a great way to keep learning and challenging my own students. It's all that and more FUN than I imagined too!

IT took me ages to finally sign up to become a judge. I was worried about designing courses and was worried about getting it right every time. I didn't need to worry, by the time I'd finished the judging programme I was much more confident. I've been judging since 2021 and still occasionally ask for advice from other judges or the UK Hoopers team and it's always given without question and in such a supportive way

Even though I'd competed with UK Hoopers quite a lot before I became a judge, I didn't realise the investment the team makes into you. There's constant support, advice, and guidance from the organisers and from other judges as well as CPD, socials and get togethers, it really is like a little family!
